Although the book has erotic passages it is not meant as erotic literature. It's an intimate exposure of a person's discovery and development of his hidden inner desires and his secret life as an unstoppable exhibitionist.
Eddie's recognition of his sexual orientation was not a significant problem. However, becoming an exhibitionist was not a simple, singular step or easy decision for Eddie. It was a combination of experiences, challenges and desires that he recognized, constructed and approved. He shows no hesitation in sharing it all for everyone’s viewing pleasure.

Nothing is held back as Eddie shares intimate details of the events and experiences, from early childhood through graduate school, that provided him with opportunities to expose himself. He reveals his innermost struggles with Jewish guilt, his commitment to high academic and social achievement and uppermost—his need to keep his private life hidden.
He was on full display at his circumcision—that was not his choice. However, he quickly devised ways and orchestrated multiple opportunities to bare all whether for childhood friends, high school buddies, art classes, house parties, gay and straight nightclubs, porn movie theaters and seedy sex clubs. He also stripped and entertained the audiences in a variety of other classy and legitimate venues and for several somewhat illegal sleazy showrooms.
Through his journeys Eddie reveals and describes his various naked adventures and their effects on him and on his relationships with friends, colleagues and family.
